LIFE!

Friday, March 25th, 2016

Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.” John 14:6

LIFE IS FOUND IN JESUS. Jesus is the greatest friend we will ever have—we can run to Him in time of need. He is not just part of a myriad of religious concepts in a pluralistic, relativistic world. He is the way, the truth, and the life, and He loves us so much that He took our sin upon Him when He died on the Cross.

The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I [Jesus] came that they may have life, and have it abundantly. John 10:10

LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL. God wants to give you the gift of an abundant life. When you accept Jesus as your Savior, you are invited to a life spent loving and connecting with Him—it’s the answer to every search for fulfillment.

Happy Easter – God loves you!

Pray for Easter!

Friday, March 18th, 2016

Easter is the New Year’s Day of the Church! It’s a weekend when we have an opportunity to reach many people and tell them about Jesus – on Good Friday, at the Saturday Egg Hunt, and on Easter Morning. Use the points below to pray over the church this next week as we believe God for a great harvest!

PRAY THAT:

1. VOLUNTEERS ARE COVERED. Those who refresh others will themselves be refreshed (Proverbs 11:25b NLT). God, I pray that You bless those who are taking time to help others. I pray that they will have a fantastic weekend and that they will be safe and protected in Jesus’ Name!

2. IN-REACH AND OUTREACH ARE EQUALLY POWERFUL. I pray the anointing of the Holy Spirit will cover the entire weekend and that as soon as people step onto our church campus they will feel God’s love. I pray that everyone – from first-time visitors to those who have been here for decades – is reached with the life-giving power of Jesus.

Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.” John 14:6

3. PEOPLE’S HEARTS ARE OPEN TO RECEIVE. Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. God, I pray that the hearts of entire families will turn toward You and that You will add daily to the number of those who are being saved (Acts 2:47).

As you pray for Easter weekend, also believe God for opportunities to invite people to attend. It’s going to be a great weekend!

God bless you!

How to Be Used by God

Friday, March 11th, 2016

The angel answered and said to her, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you.” Luke 1:35a

1. COMMIT BY FAITH. When Mary was told she was going to supernaturally give birth to the Son of God, she asked “How can these things be?” The angel replied, “By the power of the Holy Spirit.” You and I are called to put our hands to building and to trust God for fruitfulness throughout our lives. But when you commit to anything big, you recognize your own inadequacy and inexperience. That’s why God reminds us that it’s not by our might or power but by His Spirit (Zechariah 4:6).

Unless the Lord builds the house, they labor in vain who build it. Psalm 127:1a

2. TRUST GOD IN EVERY SEASON. Jesus is your sustainer. Since the Lord is building the house, you can be assured that your work will be effective. Life has its rhythms—seedtime and harvest—but God is the author and finisher of your faith from the beginning to the middle to the end (Hebrews 12:2).

3. GET READY FOR THE HARVEST. There is going to be a day coming soon when Jesus will come back with power. Those in the valley of decision need to hear the Gospel, and the task of getting the message to the people is upon us. By the grace of God we can prepare for it and engage our generation and win our world. Get ready to see a tremendous number of people get saved and go on to serve God for the rest of their lives.

DAILY CONFESSION
The path of the righteous will grow brighter and brighter till the full day (Proverbs 4:18). Whatever I put my hand to will prosper (Deuteronomy 28:8). God, help me to advance Your purposes. The Gospel will flourish in my generation—JESUS will be famous and received as Savior all over the world.

How to Get Rid of Anxiety

Friday, March 4th, 2016

The Lord has been mindful of us; He will bless us. Psalm 115:12a

1. CAST YOUR CARES ON HIM. God cares about you. He formed you in the womb and He knows everything about you (Jeremiah 1:5). Everything that is worrying and troubling you—give it over completely to the Lord. You are not forgotten: God has plans to give you a future and hope (Jeremiah 29:11).

When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, the moon and the stars, which You have ordained; what is man that You take thought of him, and the son of man that You care for him? Yet You have made him a little lower than God, and You crown him with glory and majesty! You make him to rule over the works of Your hands; You have put all things under his feet. Psalm 8:3-6

2. APPRECIATE THE DAILY GRIND. God wants to use us in unique ways, and plowing faithfully through everyday life is how we prepare the ground for great harvest. If you’re feeling aimless or bored, realize that the lull of this season may just be a break before the work and busyness of the next.

3. REIGN IN THIS LIFE. God has designed us to be fruitful and multiply and tend to this earth (Genesis 1:28). He has made us to rule over the works of His hands (Psalm 8:6). The devil will work to intimidate you and make you feel uncertain so that you won’t step up in the next season of your life. But you have been given authority to bring honor and glory to God and have a greater impact on your world. So stay humble before God and be ready for Him to use you!
