A Time For Everything

Friday, February 16th, 2018

There is an appointed time for everything. And there is a time for every event under heaven. He has made everything appropriate in its time. He has also set eternity in their heart. Ecclesiastes 3:1, 11a

1. SAVOR THE SEASONS. Life is a series of seasons and stages. God has an overall mission for your life but there are different stages of your course. Along the way He has divine appointments prepared for you. So enjoy the journey!

2. WHEN YOU DON’T KNOW WHAT TO DO. We often want new direction and new anointing, when God is just looking for us to follow through and complete the things He’s already told us to do. If you feel unsure, obey what you already know to do—work hard and stay faithful in the small things. Daily obedience fosters big time breakthrough.

Brethren, I do not regard myself as having laid hold of it yet; but one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. Philippians 3:13-14

3. PRESS ON. When we quit focusing on ourselves, we can begin to live a life of gratitude and purpose instead of a life filled with “should’ve, could’ve, would’ve.” Next time you get a prompting in your heart to pray—do it. If you feel like you should encourage somebody—don’t hesitate—call or send that person a text. Dig deep in the Word and get ready. God is opening doors for you!

The best is yet to come!

Follow Through

Friday, June 26th, 2015

He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God? Micah 6:8

1. Do the Right Thing. This verse in Micah breaks down three components of a thriving spiritual life. Every day we can pursue justice—and we have the amazing Holy Spirit to help us discern the right things to say and do.

Conduct yourselves with wisdom toward outsiders, making the most of the opportunity. Let your speech always be with grace, as though seasoned with salt, so that you will know how you should respond to each person. Colossians 4:5-6

2. Walk In Love. Be quick to forgive and quick to repent. If you’ve developed skill at itemizing and retaining hurts, trust God to bury it in the sea of forgetfulness and then move on from it. Have nothing to do with unforgiveness and everything to do with loving others.

You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. Deuteronomy 6:5

3. Follow Through Obediently. Don’t give up before the breakthrough. We are called to live a life of follow-through. To get a fresh perspective, let your logic get cleansed by the Word of God. Every day is a new opportunity to reset your heart before the Lord and push past disappointments, forgive the frailties of others, and fight the good fight of faith.

Pray this Prayer
God, I thank You for sending the Holy Spirit to help me to daily walk in love, to know and discern the way of justice, and to follow through in obedience to the very end of my life! I love You, Jesus!

fol•low through, verb
To press on in an activity or process especially to a conclusion.

Press on!
