Walking With God

The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside quiet waters. He restores my soul; He guides me in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake. Psalm 23:1-3

1. FIND REST. God has called us to a life that is different than it was before we knew Him—to a life of joy and abundance (John 10:10). If you’ve been distracted and things have gotten bland spiritually or you’ve been so filled with anxiety that you can’t rest, be assured that God wants to bring you into a place of focus and peace.

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7

2. FLOW WITH GOD. Imagine you are canoeing down a river. The flow and current are in the middle of the river. If you veer over to the edge, the water is slow and sometimes stagnant. We all want to be in the deep, beautiful, blue water where we hardly have to paddle. That’s what our walk with God can be like when we are flowing with Him.

For all who are being led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. Romans 8:14

3. FIGHT AND WIN. God’s Word is sure footing and He has answers corresponding to every weirdness that tries to come at you. When you sit at the feet of Jesus, your mind gets renewed. That’s where you get revelation and instruction so you can stand up to fight and win the battles of life.

I have fought the good fight, I have finished the course, I have kept the faith; in the future there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day; and not only to me, but also to all who have loved His appearing. 2 Timothy 4:7-8
